About Us

Samuel Gompers Middle School with its Samuel Gompers STEAM Magnet is a comprehensive 6th through 8th grade middle school located in South Central Los Angeles within the Los Angeles Unified School District. We are ensuring our students are prepared for high school by offering honors and A-G courses, but also preparing them to be ready for the world to thrive in college, career, and life.

Samuel Gompers Middle School is committed to providing an intellectually challenging environment that will empower students to become innovative thinkers, creative problem-solvers, and inspired learners prepared to thrive in the twenty-first century. Our goal is to cultivate the potential in every student to thrive as a global citizen by embracing the full richness and diversity of our community.
